Tameside has welcomed refugees and asylum seekers and refugee, this County has become a home to people from more than 75 countries speaking over 100 different languages. This diversity is Tameside’s greatest strength and the contributions made to our council are limitless.
We know that the coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed the lives of everyone in Tameside, but these changes have impacted our refugee, asylum seeker and migrant communities more than most. Tameside is your home and we are here during this hard time to support you and your family.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have helped more than hundreds families including widows, single mothers by providing food items, sanitisers, soap, etc..
